These are among the symptoms of sickness: if the breath almost leaves the body, this is due to being undermined by upas tahunan illness, which should be healed by using such ingredients as orange, sugar, isinrong spices, all pulverized, the liquid of which is to be drunk. If the nails look yellow, that is the symptom of ceriman gangsa illness, which should be healed by using such ingredients as urine of duck, warangan turmeric, which is to be drunk. If the eyes are reddish yellow, that is the symptom of upas dewek illness, which should be healed by using such ingredients as skin of green mango, boiled tamarind, liquid of puring amaranth, which is to be drunk.
[29a]   If the bottom part of the nails look reddish, that is the symptom of upas hyang illness, which should be healed by using such ingredients as root of paku nasi fern, fennel, baked onion, which is to be drunk. Red protruding eyes as if getting off from their place causing constant restlessness, and the eyelids feel as if being stabbed, and the nails look blue, that is the symptom of being affected by poison, which therefore should be healed soon. Loose and itchy teeth is caused by warangan poison and therefore mouthwash using warm water should be done; when feeling shivering coldness accompanied by continuing cough, those are the symptom of being affected by reratus (mixture of some poisons), which should be healed by using such ingredients as white hibiscus including its root and bark, which is to be drunk, accompanied with the recital of neutralizing mantra magic charm; and its liniment is made from such ingredients as ketepeng leaf added with dahuti liniment drops, white kasisat , sari -

If being affected by upasmat poison, heal it by using such ingredients as sandalwood rubbed on a dulang tray, tahi nlati (essence of soil), bark of bengkel tree, bark of kendal tree, all baked one-sidedly and then pulverized, of which its filtered liquid is to be drunk accompanied with the recital of such mantra magic charm as ong hayu gumi, kewu hana janma manusa, teja bhumi hana teja manusa, bhatara hana manusa, amlaku kasakten, siddhya mandi mantranku (Oh peace to the world, there are humans, the light of the world, the light of humans, there are gods and humans, performing the supernatural power. Be powerful my charm). The medicine for the difficulty in urinating uses such ingredients as soaking water of rice, sarong gegambiran spices, which is to be drunk, which can bring recovery.
[30a]   The medicine for the difficulty in defecating and urinating, which is the symptom of tai buritan illness, as it is called, uses such ingredients as old betel leaf, pulasari , onion and fennel, salt, which is to be sprayed at the point below the navel. For its liniment to be applied at the bottom past of the back are used such ingredients as root of canging tree, root of jaruju , pulasari , onion and fennel. For the medicine to be drunk are used such ingredients as enough coconut oil, enough lemon juice, water with salt solution, which is to be drunk. There is another medicine using such ingredients as bark of candle nut tree, vinegar, which is to be drunk. The medicine for the difficulty to defecate uses such ingredients as young leaf of jarak , squeezed, tamarind, coconut milk, onion fried in pig fat, which is to be drunk. The medicine for swelling beriberi uses such ingredients as old kunyit warangan turmeric, bark of canigara tree, bark of tingulun tree, which is to be rubbed on the affected parts.
[30b]   This is the symptom that someone will die: the skin of the patient looks wrinkled, and then it seems broken with the skin remaining wrinkled, which can be taken as a signal that the person will die. Again, if when pressed the nails do not turn reddish, it can be taken that the person will die. The medicine for high temperature on the body uses such ingredients as hanging old betel leaf, finely chopped down, then squeezed with salt, to which is then added with filed galingale, lempuyang , filed in the same way as that of the galingale, coriander, babolong , stirred with sandalwood-rubbed water, and then steamed until well done when it is then all sprayed. To all parts of the body are used such ingredients as bark of naga sari tree, ginger, pulasari . The medicine for the child with high
[31a]   temperature uses such ingredients as leaf of gentawas, squeezed with salt, mixed with filed coconut, then baked in banana leaf wrapping until well done when it is then sprayed on to the whole body. The medicine for breaking the swollen stomach uses such medicine as raw mengkudu , complete isinrong spices, salted water sewage, boiled, which is then to be drunk when already well done. The medicine to be plastered on the solar plexus and on the swollen stomach uses such ingredients as kilas clagi mushroom, mixed with boiled tamarind, complete isinrong spices, mixed with thick coconut milk, put on a padding of mengkudu leaf, inscribed with garuda bird figure, which is then to be plastered. The medicine for all kinds of skin diseases uses such ingredients as leaf of kangkang yuyu , peron fruit, alum, complete isinrong spices, coconut oil, which is then
[31b]   fried until well done when it is then smeared on the affected parts. The cleansing can be done by using such ingredients as galingale in atenggek manuk amount (about as big as chicken head), dadap leaf, which is ground for its liquid, which is then used for doing the cleansing. And for smooth pressing neces sari ly repeatedly done such ingredients are used as young coconut including its fiber, which is then heated, and when warm enough it is then smoothly pressed. The medicine for healing internally injured stomach uses such ingredients as galingale, sandalwood, both rubbed, and then heated into hot liquid, of which a quarter consisting of sandalwood-rubbed and rubbed-rubbed substances, each as much as half a quarter, is then taken three times, one spoon at a time, to be drunk. The medicine for
[32a]   emergency illness such as serious diarrhea due to being affected by upas bengang consists of such ingredients as root of the rose-apple tree, root of padang blulang grass, red rice, ketan gajih sticky rice, baked onion, , all pulverized and filtered to be drunk. The haji montong healing uses such ingredients as ambulu leaf, karuk leaf, pepper, all finely pulverized, added with coriander-rubbed water, mixed with honey, which is then to be smeared on the penis, after which no sexual intercourse is done for three days with the wife. The medicine for enlarging the penis uses such ingredients as pijer cihna, damar sela , all pulverized, then mixed with honey, which is to be drunk while facing east, and that done lengthening will be effected. The medicine for increasing sexual stamina uses such ingredients as porridge of ketan gajih sticky rice, sweet palm sap, added with pepper,
[32b]   which will make effective energy substance. The medicine for sexual organ uses such ingredients as lime , crushed and then applied as liniment on the sexual organ. This can cause narrowing (contraction) in the vagina; the other ingredients include gajihing tikus, gajihing dadali , in equal amount as each other,, which is to be applied as liniment on the vagina, which when done will cause juvenation with subsequent narrowing of the vagina. There is another medicine using such ingredients as oil of uduking kacapa , oil of uduking tikus , in equal amount as each other, which is to be applied as liniment on the vagina everyday. There is another medicine using such ingredients as skin of gintungan , liquid of turmeric, pepper, nutmeg, honey, kalupa , sap of angsana , all pulverized to be drunk. There is another medicine using such ingredients as rubbed, lime, which is to be applied as liniment on the vagina, which when so done will increase the sexual passion. There is another medicine using such ingredients as
[33a]   galingale, lempuyang , liquid of turmeric, coriander, stamen of hibiscus, all ground to be applied as liniment on the vagina. The medicine for keputihan illness uses such ingredients as kamubugan , its root, bark, and leaf, daringo , one red jasu , kitchen salt, which is to be drunk while facing east. The medicine in preparation for sexual intercourse with a woman uses such ingredients as porridge of ketan gajih sticky rice, which when well cooked is added with 21 seeds of pepper, one new raw chicken egg, mixed with milk of green coconut, which is then to be eaten. In order to increase strength (endurance) such ingredients are used as maja kling , nutmeg, stamen of hibiscus, purut orange, cungor leaf, all pulverized, mixed with oil, which is to be smeared or applied as liniment on the penis, which when so done will cause it to endure the intercourse. In order to increase sexual passion such ingredients are used as jaruju flower, one seed of white jasun ,
[33b]   all pulverized.
