How You Can Help
Around the world there are hundreds of organizations who are working to help conserve indigenous culture and traditions. Many focus on land rights issues, education, economic opportunity, social justice, housing, child care and the many other myriad causes which affect all cultures and people in our modern world.
At Ringing Rocks Foundation our mission is to help conserve indigenous healing practices and cultural traditions. To this end we often seek out other likeminded organizations who are working to further this mission. Here are a few organizations that deserve your attention and perhaps your assistance.
- The Itgel Foundation - protecting the indigenous lifestyle of the Tsaatan reindeer herders in Northern Mongolia.
- American Indian Institute - creating a forum for Native American elders and youth to gather in council to pray, share ideas, and to teach.
- Rock Art Research Institute - dedicated to preserving ancient rock art throughout southern Africa.
- Cultural Survival - helping conserve indigenous cultures around the world.
- Seva Foundation - supporting a vast number of projects around the world which aim to help indigenous people.
- Survival - working for tribal peoples' rights in three complementary ways: education, advocacy and campaigns. They also offer tribal people themselves a platform to address the world. (based in the U.K.)
- Kenosis Spirit Keepers - honoring and preserving the integrity of indigenous wisdom and sacred cultural practices by providing cross-cultural exchanges, education, and community-building opportunities.
