Expansion grant for the Fund for Cultural Preservation and Perpetuation as the number of both tribal colleges and universities, as well as college students has continued to grow.

American Indian Institute & Traditional Circle of Indian Elders and Youth — United States

Support for an annual gathering of Native American elders and youth from across the United States to share traditional wisdom, spirituality, and life ways.

National Museum of the American Indian — United States

Support for Haudenosaunee Friendship Weekend which will celebrate the opening of the Haudenosaunne (Iroquois) Discovery Room.

Blue Deer Center — United States and Mexico

Support for Pilgrimages by the Huichol people of the Western Sierra Mare to sacred sites to perform the rituals that connect the different generations to maintain a harmony with their culture and the world.

Madre — United States and Nicaragua

Support of “Harvesting Hope” to assist Miskito communities in growing traditional healing herbs and medicinal plants. Involvement in this roject will reconnect Miskito youth to their elders and their wisdom.

Selu Circle — United States

Support of workshops on growing and documenting the use of medicinal plants and natural healing practices of the Cherokee people.

Ujima Enterprises, Inc. — United States, Ghana, Guinea, Senegal, and Zimbabwe

Support for a cultural immersion study tour in Africa designed to augment the long-term training and school support goals of the Ujima Project, which is modeled after African manhood/womanhood training.

Na way ee Center School — United States

Support for an adult Ojibwe language table for adults who wish to be more fluid in their Mother Tongue. Each session is recorded and archived, thereby contributing to the growing revitalization movement.

Itgel Foundation — United States and Mongolia

Support for the “Reindeer Life Project” that aims to revitalize and protect the Tsaatan culture of northern Mongolia by working to improve the sustainability of their ancient tradition of reindeer herding.

Association for the Preservation of Peruvian Textiles — United Sates and Peru

Support for the reiving, documenting, and preservation of the traditional forms of Peruvian weaving that reflect indigenous wisdom of the Inca and Amazonian civilizations of the Andean highlands.

North Country Community College — United States

Support for “Light the Path” - the introduction of a Mohawk language and culture into the curriculum for those wishing to learn or reinforce their language skills.

Sound Essence Project — United States and Mongolia

Support of the “Mongolian Storyteller’s Project” which is committed to the continuation of traditional stories and healing practices of Mongolian Elders. The stories and oral histories of 10 Mongolian families will be recorded and preserved.
